VC6000系列数字式阀门控制器是可以通讯的、基于微处理器的电-气转换仪表。除了把电流信号转换成气动输出压力这一标准功能外，DVC6000系列数字式阀门控制器使用HART通信协议可以很容易地访问对于过程操作至关重要的信息。在控制阀上或现场接线盒处通过HART通讯器，或者在控制室里通过个人计算机或者操作台，可以很容易的获取关于过程控制的重要部件-控制阀本身的信息。
